The University of Rochester women's basketball program won its fifth Wendy's College Classic title on Saturday, as the Yellowjackets picked up a 68-51 win over Roberts Wesleyan College.  Melissa Alwardt was named as the Classic's MVP after totaling eight points, seven rebounds and six assists in the title game.

University of Rochester and Roberts Wesleyan College will meet at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the championship game of the Wendy's College Classic.  The host Yellowjackets have won four straight Classic titles. while the Raiders are making their first appearance in the finals since 2004.  Tickets for this evening's title-tilt are $5 and can purchased at the door.

Fifth-seeded Roberts Wesleyan advanced to the finals of the Wendy's College Classic with a 58-47 win over College at Brockport.  The Raiders will take on University of Rochester, who held on to beat St. John Fisher College in the other semifinal matchup.

The College at Brockport pulled off the biggest upset in the 17-year history of the Women's Wendy's College Classic, as the Golden Eagles knocked off top-seeded Nazareth College 58-54 on Tuesday at Roberts Wesleyan.
